The KONNEX bit combines the effect of a ported bar and the positive characteristics of the butterfly bar. The profile of the beris KONNEX bar is slimmer, it positions itself very comfortably in the horse’s mouth, provides more room and the port is also clearly wider in the beris KONNEX bar. It is suitable for horses with little space in their mouth, e.g. thoroughbred type horses, or older horses (due to changes in dentition), horses with larger tongues and especially ones that cannot tolerate too much pressure on parts of the tongue. The loose ring means a greater mobility of the bit in the mouth. The snaffle bit is therefore a bit for horses that prefer a "more mobile" bit in their mouth. The ring runs very evenly in the copper sockets and, due to the better durability, increases the working life of the bit considerably.
